Imperial MÄRZEN


Imperial Märzen is a pale amber-coloured lager with a full taste, where the sweetness of malt dominates over the bitterness of hops. Märzen is characterized by a roasted aroma reminiscent of bread, as well as a malty essence and lasting head.

  • ABV: 5.0%
  • Bottom-fermented lager with full body, malty flavour, and a beautiful deep amber colour
  • Colour 21 EBC, original gravity 12.5% P, bitterness 20 IBU


  • Serve at 6–8°C
  • Serve from a pilsner or a long stem tulip glass
  • Tastes best with sweet and sour dishes, chicken wings, Mexican food and meatburgers

A. Le Coq & Co was established in 1807. Production was moved from London to Tartu at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1912 A. Le Coq was chosen as the official supplier of the Russian emperor’s court and Imperial Extra Double Stout, which was brewed in Tartu, became available throughout the empire.
